Safety First for a Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of the most beloved holidays in the United States. it also, unfortunately, has the potential to be one of the most dangerous holidays for children.

Recommended Safety Tips For Those Driving

  • Remember to stay alert. You can help yourself to remain alert when driving by not being under the influence of any chemical substances. Another way to remain alert is to not text and drive.Five seconds with your eyes off the road could prove to be fatal.
  • Drive under the speed limit in places where trick-or-treaters are walking.
  • If you're driving, watch out for kids getting out of cars.

Safety Tips For Pedestrians

  • Its always a good idea to wear glow sticks or reflective tape to remain visible in the dark.
  • Remember to look both ways before crossing the street, and cross at a cross walk.
  • Make sure there are no moving vehicles around when your child steps out of the car. Also, make sure they're stepping out on the same side as the house they wish to visit.
